I fished a small channel of the Hackensack River in New Milford , I was told there are Stripers in Colder Months . Anyone know if that's accurate or what time of year is Striper time , from shore no boat ..yet.😉💃

In prior years I've fished for stripers in the Raritan bay near the train bridge, while on my lunch break and not dock building. I've caught shorts and blues too in February, but the numbers weren't here. I'm not sure, but I believe that some of the juvenile fish stay local. I used clams as bait.

As far as the boat, becareful of what you wish for. "A boat is a hole in the water, in which you throw money"

It's Crazy because I've heard of Ppl by me catching 35-40lb Stripers out of a tidal , Tiny lil tributary stream off the Hacky .. That'd be something else , water depths range 2-6 depending on tide sometimes deeper . [/b]
