So the lake is finally iced over, unfortunately been doing a lot of work in my daughter/son in laws house for them, but finally managed to get out yesterday, knowing i never do well in bright sunlight, i got on the ice by 4am, marked a few decent spots, went to start augering holes, and last time i sharpened my blades, i must have messed them up, wouldn't cut or grab at all, had to run home, resharpen, and return, by then it was around 7 and getting light. Did mark a lot of fish, but not one bite, although i cant blame it on the sun, a guy 20 feet from me was clobbering the crappies, At least everything looked really cool coated in ice from Sundays storm
