Campfire Walleye & Potatoes Recipe for Walleye

Ingredients: Walleye fillets
Potatoes, (washed), chopped (leave skin on), cut into bite-sized pieces
1 onion
1/2 bell pepper, chopped
salt and pepper
dash of garlic powder
1/2 cup shredded cheese
1/2 to 1 stick butter
aluminum foil
Directions: 1. Have campfire coals hot with no flames, or use a charcoal grill heated to medium-high.
2. Arrange potatoes in an even layer on aluminum foil. Then sprinkle onions and pepper over top Lay as many fillets over potatoes as desired. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Sprinkle cheese over fillets. Place dabs of butter over cheese. Place another piece of aluminum foil on top and seal all edges tightly together. Then wrap all in a second piece of tin foil.
3. Carefully place onto grill and bake for 30 to 40 minutes. To check if done carefully cut a small slit on top. Test potatoes with a fork to see if tender. When done, remove from grill and carefully fold back top for steam to escape. Serve and enjoy!
