Smallmouth Bass

First I would like to say hello to all my fellow anglers out there. This site looks like a great way to share some fishing info. I do alot of fishing in my local area of South Jersey but I am always looking for new waters to explore. Recently I have become very interested in catching some smallmouth bass. If anyone has some info as to good places to try/times of the year on smallmouths please let me know. I am willing to travel but like to stay within about 1.5 from my home. Gas prices have really limited my travel for pleasure options.

No i think the carp are the best fighting fish...but i hate carp catch and release

I don't know about being the best, but they are fun. Even little ones on ultralight gear will give you a run for the money.

I'm curious to try new Lake Audrey down in south Jersey... I used to dump my boat into the Maurice River by the bridge there when I was in college at Rowan.
