Hit IBSP on Thursday with my wife, spent a few hours bouncing bucktails with no luck, then switched over to an AV and hit a few small blues. Was a beautiful day on the beach, Saw a bunch of Dolphins and we even had a seal swimming in the surf, then headed to the boardwalk for some food.

got up Friday . picked up my nephew and took him out on the Miss Belmar for blues, fishing was pretty slow. Had a flurry of action for about an hour, then it slowed back down, but nephew finally caught his first decent sized blue. I do want to say the mates on the MB were top notch, There were quite a few kids on the boat, and when the flurry started, they made sure all the kids found a spot on the stern to catch a fish. Great work guys, could have been the difference between a fun time or a bust for those kids. Way to go.

Metal is the ticket right now in the surf.
On the other side of the inlet up and down LBI
the surf is loaded with small blues.
