Reunited

I have been reunited with my love of fishing. The last time I went out was a saltwater boat tour my Dad took me on when I was about 20 years old. Well about a decade later I have rekindled my love of the sport. Recently we vistsed Wading Pines campground down in Chatsworth and had a ball fishing in thier stocked pond. I really thought it would be that easy when I went out on my own...Big Mistake.

Today was my first official day out, I am without a vehicle at the moment so decided to take advantage of the Big Timber Creek fishing which is located within walkng distance of my house. I found the path that led me up high above the creek, afetr awhile I realized it was the old railroad track line that ran through Glendora and Blackwood. Eventually I found a partially broke in trail that led down to a narrow bridge. After almost killing myself trying to navigate the steep hill down while keeping my gear in tow, I made myself at home on the little sport on big Timber Creek. I didnt catch anything although on my first cast out I thought I had a whopper. I was realing this thing in for about 10 minutes, the line tension was to the maximum and it wasnt budging. Eventually I had to cut the line, which I hate doing but I was pretty sure I had gotten a log or something. Wouldnt you know it no more than 5 minutes later a huge turtle(not sure what kind) popped out of the water and looked straight up at me, as to say " Hey were you the one causing all the fuss down here?". Hey swam off after that and his unexpected visit to me was the highlight of my day.
