Sorry for the long delay. I hope your Musky hunt was successful!
I like a red/white spoon or johson's minnow about 1/2 ounce (or larger, on a steen leader.
Maybe the best is the old fashioned "belly-rigger" sucker fished live dangling a few big hooks!
I hope you get to try fishing this fall from Towanda, PA down to Homet's ferry in a boat. This is prime underfished water where I have fished for over 40 years.
Please post your musky trip, and keep in touch.

20lb test vanish and a 40lb steal leader or the new clear leaders, I have about $400 bucks worth of musky luers but I always catch them on the most random s***, I caught one this week on a swim bait, but they followed alot of the bigger stuff like double cowgirls. |

Your welcome, I just hope you get into some nice ones...advice is always much more worth it if it works hehe Also if you haven't seen, in the Mafishfinder forums/carp I've posted a few things about bait, glugs, rigs and such that you may find helpful. Some pretty basic stuff, but there are a few bait recipes and such.
Good luck and tight lines!

I agree totally, about catching Pickeral. I love catching Largemouth and Smallmouth bass. They give a great fight and they are easy to unhook. |
