Really nice write up. I have never fished for them. too cold for my style, but I do go to Barnegat bay for some fluke fishing when it warms up. I am going to go out for ton of them this year and hoping to capture good footage for my YouTube channel ^^

Maybe one day I'll get dress warm enough to go into the back bay for some cold water flounder fishing! Would need a super nice dry suit for that.

I am a little late getting splashed so I am not sure if I am going to get a shot at them this year or not. Hardly worth it just being able to keep 2 fish though.

Thanks for the great informative information on NJ Flounder fishing. When I fish for Flounder, I usually fish the following areas of Raritan Bay, Sandy Hook Bay or Point Pleasant. As well as entering the local Flounder contests. By entering the contests it helps motivating me to get my boat ready for the season.

the little blackbacks were my goto fish for the start my fishing but no more not worth the time or money now shark river was good to me foe a few years

I thought you were strictly a striper and blues guy and fished north of Sandy Hook.

no not at all just were i am its mostly bass and blues i do like my bottom fish i just dont go out much for them
