freshwater - saltwater...it's just been too damn cold to go fishing and i cannot stand it. Going crazy sitting at home this winter. Last winter there were plenty of days to catch fish, and i caught alot. This year has been awful! Even if i don't catch anything, i'm still fishing. I went 1 time last week because the water was finally ice free. It was only for 15 minutes, but i was fishing. The last fish i got was on dec.22nd - a small pikerel......I am counting the days until at least mid-march and the air and water temps start to go up. Can't wait until i retire and move to a warm weather state so i can fish every damn day!
Def got the fishing blues , but got no choice js had surgery to repair a torn labrum in my shoulder . Start Pt next week , woo hoo.... 
and btw Bullhead , think u mean Topo Maps ..lol unless u did that on purpose .. Either way I wish I had a Topo for every lake I fish , but they js don't have em for all bodies of water .. Looking from Google Maps Satllite n check the dif colors or Google Earth n check the Topo for drop offs in shoreline for deeper waters .. Try it out it can't hurt ..

Lakes and ponds around here frozen solid. I did do a little fishing last Sunday and caught 2 sunnies. You have to fish in moving water though.

Pequest Trout Hatchery
The Pequest Trout Hatchery is NJ’s premier
trout production facility. Located in the
Pequest Valley, it sits above an aquifer of
cold, clean water making it the perfect site
for raising trout.
Construction on the hatchery began in
1980 and was completed in 1982.
More than one million brook, brown
and rainbow trout eggs from
hatcheries in West Virginia and
Massachusetts were originally
used to get things started. Fish
were hand-selected to serve
as broodstock, and this process
still continues today.
In the fall, eggs from adult trout are
fertilized and placed in incubators where they
remain until they hatch. Upon hatching, the
sac-fry are moved from the incubators to
tanks in the nursery building where they
remain for three months. After that, the
fingerlings are then moved outside to the
raceways where they remain for another
year.
By mid-March the hatchery trucks are busy
stocking more than 600,000 trout in over 200
lakes, streams, and rivers statewide.
Pequest also provides anglers with fall and
winter stocking programs, as well as a sea
run brown trout program.

looks like the warm weather will be here for the weekend!! Hoping to get out and get some more fishing in - been out a few times in the last 2 weeks caught a bunch of little pikerels, 1 small bass and 1 big bass. Can't wait for the water to start warming up and more fish getting hooked!
