Most people are into big game fish, but small game fish can be fun too if you equip yourself with lighter tackle. Bluegills are on the spawning grounds, so you can get yourself some nice big ones!

When I do get out to target sunfish, I sometime use the hinge muscles that I save from blue mussels. The muscles are small, so I use a small hook and as soon as it hits the water you have a hook up. A lot of fun especially when using light tackles. It works better than worms and the kids love it because they keep catching fish with very few misses.

Thnx Jim! Yeah there's so many ways of catching them. I remember the good o days w/ hot dogs and a bobber!
