IT'S TIME TO PLAY OFFENSE
The Bristol Bay region is a world-class wild salmon fishery and the most important sockeye fishery anywhere. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is moving ahead with the permitting process that would allow the mine that threatens Bristol Bay to begin operations.
An amendment has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives that would stop this permitting process. This amendment will assure that critical components that were left out of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement can be included and that the total impact of the mine is considered.
Take Action today and ask your Representative to vote YES for Amendment #63 on H.R. 2740.
