The fishing turned last week to top water hits with many good 3.5lb and up bass into the net. love the smash of a strike on a top water popper w/ a 9wt fly rod.

| The spawn is in full effect, but i find that in lakes and ponds with lots of fish (not overfished) there is always a percentage of fish willing to strike, not to mention if you have the patience you can always trigger them by dropping a jig or worm in their nest. I have been killing them with a black zara spook. |

Yup, Black and clear/ light green 3.5 - 4" working here too. Some nice Pickeril off them too. Our lake temps have been up close to 80 already. Sensor is in the bottom of trolling motor about 2-3' down.
