I know people fish for carp in Westside Park in Paterson,on the Passaic River. also at the south end of Pompton Lake near the dam.

You could also try the Hackensack river.

Or try dahnerts lake on Midland ave in Garfield

Welcome mate. I always caught lots of nice Carp in the Saddle River in Paramus at Dunkerhook Park. There is a decent size water fall in the park and lots of Carp in that area. I grew up in that area and caught tons of Carp there.

Trying to get this post started again...

I've just started carp fishing in central jersey as there is suppose to be carp in every lake. The small pond close to me is stocked with trout and whenever I fish there I see big fish all over the place. I've been out carp fishing 6 or 7 times and only hooked one fish, but it broke off as I was reaching for my net...

Anyway, as I slowly work out my tactics does anyone have any good lakes or ponds with fish. I'm not after lunkers at the moment, just fish to hone my skills
